Gene Wang
Chief Financial Officer
Gene Wang serves as Chief Financial Officer at President Asset Group, where he oversees the company's financial planning, operations, and reporting/compliance. He plays a key role in aligning the firm’s investment strategy with the long-term financial objectives of the firm’s shareholders, including optimizing asset allocation/performance, financial controls and risk management, and sourcing of equity and debt. Mr. Wang brings over 15 years of commercial real estate experience, encompassing acquisitions and dispositions, underwriting and originations, as well as portfolio and risk management. Â
Prior to joining President Asset Group, Mr. Wang served as Vice President and Portfolio Manager in the Commercial Real Estate Group at California Bank & Trust (Zions Bancorporation), where he was responsible for one of the bank’s largest portfolios of mini-perm/bridge loans comprising multifamily, industrial, office, retail, and for-sale residential projects primarily in the $10 million to $50 million range. His experience in project financing includes acquisitions, entitlement/development, and repositioning/value-add lending with a focus on complex transactions including portfolios, syndications, and hybrid debt structures. Mr. Wang began his career as an analyst at STC Management, supporting the acquisition and management of commercial properties primarily in the San Gabriel Valley. He previously completed internships at Nomura International in Hong Kong, where he contributed to equity research on master-planned residential developments in major Chinese cities, and Morgan Stanley in Pasadena, CA, where he assisted in providing financial advisory services to high-net worth private clients. Â
Gene holds a BA in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley. Outside of his professional life, Gene is an avid rock climber and motorsport enthusiast who enjoys spending weekends in Joshua Tree and Yosemite.
